Creating Awesome Theatre in the Heart of Times Square

Why do you think they call it PLAY?

Wow!  Do you find everyone you meet lately is all stressed out about silly things?  Worried about relationships, money, their weight, their kids, their pets, their plants?  It is crazy how pressurized people are today.  And then add the crazy Summer heat, and people are EXPLODING.

The antidote to EXPLODING is PLAY.  Whether it be dancing with puppies, or going to a water park or actually writing and producing a play, PLAY is integral to a happy life.  When one plays, one is usually in the moment, experiencing life with immediacy and joy.  When one plays one becomes a child again, which for me, is the best place to be.  All things are possible there in that PLAY place.  Everything is fun, and there is no judgement.

Are you pressurized?  Do little things drive you crazy?  Isn’t it about time you got creative and played for a little bit?  Why don’t you write that PLAY and put it up?

Manhattan Repertory Theatre is accepting plays for it’s Fall Play Festival.  If you are feeling pressurized and there are no puppies near by to dance with, write that play, submit it and see what happens.  We love first time playwrights for we love to see them realize how much fun it is to create theatre, and hopefully, they will fall in love with PLAY.

Fall in love this Fall. Make a play!  We would love to support you through the process.
